Stair Lifts - are an important accessibility option when trying to get up to and into your house especially with homes that have steps at the front and back doors. A simple rule is that if the rise is more than 30” you should consider a Stair Chair Lift instead of a Portable Ramp – and Stairlifts are especially useful in a house where space is often limited.

For users who require chair lifts for stairs outside their home, Forever Active can provide fully weather-proof stair chair lifts ideal for outdoor use.

stair Lift Systems FAQ

Q: Can Stair Lifts be configured to fit any type of staircase?
A: Yes, Stair Lifts can be configured to fit different types of staircases. They can be made to fit straight, curved, or spiral staircases with middle landing.

Q: Do I need to do anything special before the scheduled Stair Lift installation?
A: Not really. During the Stair Lift assessment period, we will make sure you have a nearby electrical outlet either at the top or the bottom of the staircase. If for some reason you do not have an outlet nearby, then we will have our electrician install one for you free of charge. In some rare cases the stair rail will have to be removed to make extra room for the Stair Lift.

Q: How are Stair Lifts for seniors secured?
A: For about every 3-4 feet of length, a bracket is bolted down directly onto the staircase. This bracket attaches itself to the rail on which the Stair Lift runs on.

Q: What happens to my Stair Lift if the power goes out?
A: No worries, all of our electric Stair Lifts rely on battery power only. Each Stair Lift has 2 12V batteries. In case of a power outage Stair Lift batteries on full charge will be able to operate for about 10 trips up and down the staircase.

Q: What if I have a narrow staircase?
A: When not in use, the home Stair Lifts can be folded up with ease. It only takes up about 14” when folded and about 25” open. This is especially helpful for Stair Lifts for the elderly

Q: What kind of safety features does a Stair Lift have?
A: All of our Stair Lifts come with a seat belt and obstruction sensors on both sides, a swivel seat lock that holds the seat in place while you get on or off. Constant pressure controls ensure the Stair Lift will stop if you release the controls.

Q: What kind of warranty does Forever Active offer for their Stair Lifts?<
A: Forever Active offers a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years. This warranty includes parts & labor, but does not include wear and tear on the Stair Lifts.
